Shipping Improves After Contract Finalized with Water Court

After various fishing incidences revolving around the sirens off shores of Faery negotiations were finally able to bring an agreement about that would allow more ships to fish with less worry for the life of their sailors.

In the previous months, fishing has become a large source of meat production with the Earth Court's farmland beginning to twindle. However, no trade agreements were ever fully struck with the Water Court and as such many ships have been lost in the confusion.

The Sirens were often the most dangerous as their draw to sailors were the strongest and unlike the various levaithans which hide in areas easily avoided, as most fish do not live long in those areas long enough to be worth the risk.

Michael Anderson was one of the core representatives from Notion City that brokered the agreement.

"The key element was finding something that would result in a gain for both sides," said Anderson. "Unfortunately, the Water Court is a nation we seldom dealt with because we lacked anything they truly wanted."

The negotiations quickly deteriorated when that fact was established. However, Anderson was quick to act. The Water Court has always had a very limited claim in domain, oceans, rivers and lakes along with surrounding areas were making it difficult to further expand their numbers. But through the use of dive equipment and drill teams, Anderson was able to determine a method that would allow the Water Court to drill deep into the land which the Earth Court had no desire to claim.

"New land," Anderson said. "Or water to be more precise. It would alleviate difficulties on all sides. They would have a greater area to expand, and that would also increase our fishable population."

The agreement was struck, lessening the number of sailors now lost at sea. The Water Court even offered to work on a fetch making system that would at least replace some of the sailors lost.

Bloodless Body Baffles Police

Early this morning a victim of a hit and run by an automobile was discovered on South street. However, it is not the crime that has investigators digging up clues. Although a considerable amount of trauma was done to the victim, police are surprised to find no blood on the scene.

An eyewitness had come forward to claim that she had seen the man struck by the automobile the night previous. She claimed that the body didn't bleed blood, but rather feathers. Helma Braun, the witness, reported she had seen the victim depart a local speak easy and step into the street before checking for traffic. The automobile struck the victim, and sent him rolling across the car. However, feathers exploded from his body instead of blood. The evidence of her claim she stated blew away in the wind before anyone arrived.

Though police did not reveal the name of the victim they did say that he was one of the recent missing persons who had returned through the Fog from Faery months ago. At this time, they are not suggesting a correlation between the two.

No Fae could be reached for comment, and traffic on South street between 1st and 2nd is closed for the time being. Police are asking that anyone else who may have any reliable information to come forward.
